R-parity violation assisted thermal leptogenesis (2)

Dr. Yasaman Farzan from IPM

Abstract : In the context of R-parity conserving MSSM plus seesaw mechanism, to have successful thermal leptogenesis, the reheating temperature has to be larger than 10^9 GeV. This can cause an overproduction of gravitinos. We show that by turning on the R-parity violating terms in the superpotential the lower bound on the reheating temperature can be reduced. Thus, the infamous "gravitino over-production problem" can be overcome.
