New Head of the School of Nano Science

Reza Asgari is appointed Head of the School of Nano Science

The School of Nano Science at IPM was established in the year 2000 with the aim of promoting research in computational modeling. The new administration seeks to shift the focus of the School toward providing education and research of utmost quality to graduate students and researchers of different disciplines. This would facilitate first-class research in the Nano-sciences.

It is our intention to introduce multiple research areas in the School, including:

- Computational modeling

- Nano-chemistry

- Soft and Bio matter systems

- Low-dimensional electronic systems

- Quantum computing and physics of information

- Photonics and opto-electronics

- Energy and environmental science

We wish to attract interested individuals to take on the roles of post-doctoral researcher and tenure-track faculty as new members, joining us in the School of Nano Science.

With all the best wishes,

Reza Asgari

Head of the School of Nano Science
